...vague memories of it's contents.? As I remember the book concerned a special kind of surgeon the had detachable metallic forearms that (after putting themselves in a trance) they removed and proceeded to do a sort of telekinetic or ghost surgery.
The only other detail I can remember is there was a woman in a full bio mechanical suit that though she was an angel.
