Transformers has never really been about plot. It's always been about giant robots transforming and fighting each other.

So... need for lots of action + no need for story = tailor made for michael bay. He sucks, but he's the perfect guy to make Transformers.

Roger Ebert begs to differ, his review(3 Stars) said they should of cut 20 mins of the CGI action stuff and it would of been a much better movie
