If I join the Army, what cause would I be fighting for?
I mean, besides benefits, why should I fight? What is so worth fighting in the Army that I would be risking my own life for?

Why would I serve?
seriously, I dont need to be in the army to get laid
I already joined and im already shipping next month, but after one of my best friends died last month I'm thinking about life a little bit.

now thats a question you need to really think about.. i think you've answered yr own question...?? good luck...!!

If you are hesitating then don't go. Though a good reason would be that if u survive you get all the Honor and Gratitude from our country....plus money benefits.

This is a deep question. Joining the Army is kind of like jumping out of a plane. If you think about it to deeply you probably wont do it. Sometimes you have to just take a leap of faith.

Most people wont admit it because they want to sound patriotic and unselfish, but the benifits that the military offers are probably the biggest factor to why people join the military. I know that sounds bad but it is true. And no, I am not a Liberal troll trying to discredit the military on here. I am in the military and have been for over 18 years. I enjoy it, love serving my country, but I also love my free medical, on base housing, GI Bill, and VA benifits.
If you are trying to decide if the Army is right for you or not, you really need to look at what your future will be like as a civilian and whatg it could be like just by giving up 3 or 4 years to serve.

I understand having doubts but without doubt there are no heroes. Its ok to doubt yourself,If you can overcome and succeed.
There are alot of ways to die,not going military doesn't give you a life pass. You'll be ok.

I dont know and cant tell you what your reason to fight is. But mine is because I have a protector personality. I want to protect the ones in this country that cant protect themselves. I want to fight for freedom that everybody deserves. I want to keep this counrty safe and the ones who inhabit it. I do it for personal pride for something that nobody can ever take away from me. I fight for what so many take for granted and I dont care if I ever get thanked for it because I know what I do it for. But you have to find it within yourself because when you go and you cant find your reason then b.c. and a.i.t. etc.. will be very hard for you if you cant find the motivation and drive within yourself.

you will be part of a team that was put in place to defend your countries freedom. the Army is not about you, me or getting laid. its about putting your buddies life above your own like your friend did and a few of mine as well. its about defending your country no matter what. i have been in the infantry for 15 years now and have had some of the proudest moments in my life during that span. you will learn all about the 7 army values and what they mean because everything you do in life revolves around them. you just don't understand yet but it will all be clear to you soon enough. to be honest with you, you should of asked yourself these questions before you raised your right hand
