I'm interested in writing a book, but I'm not sure how to start. What do I need to do?

I've been having alot of thoughts for a book, but I don't know how to organize it. It seems like it should be easy, but I don't even know where to begin. Any suggestions?

First, write down your characters personalities and beginning feelings (how they feel before your story begins). Then elaborate and create problems for the characters and write how they are solved throughout the story. Next create physical descriptions. Last, name them!

Now write a brief outline of what you want to happen. I do this by chapters. I usually have 1-3 sentences per chapter only explaining the main events and actions taking place.


I don't know if this is a good way to start, but this is how I do it. Lol good luck!

First you get the plot, then the characters and then the setting and then you iron out the details. Good luck with that!

begin at the start! im not kidding write your ideas down on paper then begin with the idea at the start thats what i do, if i get sick of it i start another one
