please help me find the right bike, i dont want to spend money on something that wont last long or will cost too much! im looking for a "comfort" type bike. basically a hybrid! i dont care about its weight, since i know that hybrids are not meant to be easily transported. i want it to commute back nd forth from college, but i would also love to use it on camping trips. i like any color, except the girly ones..lol! o yeah and im a fan of the white inline on the tires. i need one that has gears on it for when i need to excercise, and keep the price reasonable while, getting reasonable quality. i dont know much about bikes, but i am excited to get one. i reside in los angeles california, if anyone knows any good places here to check the bike out. names and brands should do though! thanks alot!

Check out the Trek Navigator, Giant Sedona, and the Diamondback Serene online (links below). It's a good place to start.
You can enter your zip code in each of their websites to search for a dealer. Go to a few shops before deciding and ride as many as possible asking the salesperson to show you the features. Look for quick release wheels (in case of flat), suspension seat-post or fork, and test the different shifting styles if available.
Good luck with the white-walls, though. You'll probably have to ask the dealer to swap out the original tires for a fee.

Visit any of the local bike shops and tell them what you are looking for. You get what you pay for and they will have several levels of quality in each line. Google bike shops for your area.
