Im in need of a lil help..authors?

Im really really into art, music, photography, and books. Even though Im young, I aspire to be a writer, Id love to have writing as a career, and Im trying to write a book right now. I know that it is a long process, so I figured that I would go ahead and get started. BUT..since Im very in-experienced, I would LOVE to sit down with an author who knows what theyre doing, and get some help. I really do have a good story to tell, I just dont know exactly how to tell it, or how to organize it. I know its just big dreams, but I would like to try to get my story published, and I think that it would be amazing to have an author help me..idk, im just looking for thoughts, and what you would do if you were in my position..
