I accidently pressed X to install Infamous 2 (15 gigs i think) and it takes 10 minutes to get up to 1%. I don't want to leave the PS3 on for a while, but I don't want to break the system either. So, how can I cancel the installation?
It's safe to just shut it down. It installs games to a different partition of the hard drive. So the operating system will not be affected. Just hold down the power button until it turns off.
Just simply turn off your PS3. If it doesn't turn it off then switch it off by the back or unplug it.
It's unlikely that it will cause damage to the ps3, but am not Guaranteeing anything.
