I'm new to Yahoo answers so hey everyone
School started two months ago.....so here it goes
There's a cute, smart, nice all around girl that sits next to me in a class. We touched knees like the first week of school one time, she didn't let go, and we didn't say one word to each other during that. We had good eye contact when we did talk but the only way a conversation started was if I started it.
I haven't really started a conversation at all with her the past month because I feel nervous but calm at the same time. We've never said hi to each other except once when I did. She also has never said my name although I'm 100% positive she knows it. The problem though, she is VERY pretty and alot of guys like her. She isn't very popular though similar to me. Alot of girls that I know say that I'm cute and all but I don't hang around with the most popular of people because I like to hang around with people of my choice.
Anyways, a guy in the class says her name like 24/7 and tries to get her attention every chance he gets. Like two weeks ago, she started ignoring him and acting like she doesn't care what he says. She also copied a quote I say often but I've only said it once in that class. She used it twice the past two weeks, once in each of those weeks.
The problem I have, a situation I'm not that good at, is she NEVER asks me questions or anything I can really build a conversation around. She does however say random stuff to me like, "omg, there's a back to this (worksheet)", "We do so much work in here" All that kind of stuff and friday of last week she said "I'm so glad we don't have to take this class next semester" that got my attention...so much. I'm a shy guy around her because I've never had such an attractive girl like her show interest towards me. Not only that but every other guy talks to her around me making me feel jealous and just today my friend said she looked pretty. I'm no good at making friends first, usually people talk to me first. What can I do so we can have an actual conversation with her again and show her I'm still very interested.
