im having a problem with my 1000watt xplod amp it turns on but when i attach

my 2 subs wires they wont work? but when i touch the speaker wire 2 the power cable the speakers pop i did put the subs in a new box 2 day could that b a problem if the holes r 2 tight they worked 4 a sec than they stopped and i couldnt get them 2 work again
 
First make sure the amp is getting a signal from the source (CD player/radio).

Not a good idea to test the speakers that way. Use a AA battery instead.
