The idea behind allergy treatment is to give you a very small amount of the stuff you're allergic to - not enough to induce an allergic response.

Over time, the doc increases the dose to the point where you don't show an allergic response to the allergen in the environment.

If seeing an allergist for medical treatment isn't an option for you, try getting some locally produced honey. The bees collect a lot of nectar and pollen from local sources (i.e., the stuff you're allergic to) and process it into honey. If you use this honey as a sweetener in your diet, you may give yourself just a little bit of the substances you're allergic. With some luck, this can desensitize you to the environmental allergens affecting you.

Um, no. I live in a rural area, Spend most of my day out of doors, and I still get bad allergies every year. it takes longer than that. That's why people have to take allergy injections for YEARS before they go away. It may lessen it a bit, but it won't go away.

I have never heard of that before.... I would think NO because you can not give peanut butter to someone who is allergic to peanut butter constantly hoping that it would naturally immune them to it.... I don't think it works that way - I think it would make you more miserable being around all that pollen and not having anything to counter-act it... My house is surrounded by tons of trees, a cow's feild, barn, hay etc. and I have always had to get allergy shots each year if I wanted to survive the summer and spring. This year I didn't get it, and I was ok at first (thinking I became immune), but sure enough it has come back and I am miserable!

Allergies get worse with exposure over time, not better. Explore natural alternatives such as nasal irrigation for relief from nasal allergies, infections, and colds...

Pills and injections only mask symptoms, but they don't cure the basic problem. They are also poison and over time will eventually do damage to your liver. Just because the FDA approves it, that doesn't mean it's good for you...they'll kill ya with the cures, so natural methods are the best way to go!

I don't think that's technically possible. I think you'll just end up suffering for the duration of the time.

Why not speak to your doctor and see what treaments are available to you?
