I'm going crazy! (A "can you help me find X show" thread)

I couldn't find a thread like this anywhere around here and I've been on this hunt for months. If its a success (lol probably not) and if you guys have something you're searching for as well, you can post here too, but lets try to do one at a time ;_;

Alright, so I posted this on TV tropes, but its not going well. And I can't believe it didn't occur to me to go on here first, this is a forum dedicated to animation for goodness sakes. To make it look non-copy-pasta, I'm going to re-state.

I need help looking for a special. It wasn't a show because I never saw subsequent episodes afterwards, but it was treated like a pilot. It debuted here in the early 2000s (I'm thinking around 2003), and I'm almost sure that it was on Nickelodeon, if not, then Cartoon Network, because those were the only two channels I watched back then (I'm only 16 =p). I'll try to be as elaborate as possible.

So there were these three girls. They somehow got super powers one day because they were taken hostage into a fruit cocktail/juice factory of some sort and then had gotten shocked with something. Since fruit juice was involved in the way they got their powers, they have to drink it so that they can activate them. One girl, the main character, was blonde, had a red outfit, and had super strength. The next one was black haired, she had a blue outfit, and could fly. She could only control her flying powers through saying "go" and "stop." The third girl, I'm a little hazy on, but I know for sure she had a green outfit and I think her power was super speed, but I'm not positive.

In the climax of the pilot, the one adult that knew their secret (I think he was a barber? I'm not sure what his relationship was with the three girls but he was a friend.) gave them some of their awesome fruit juice and they got their powers. The only scene I remember clearly about was that the blonde girl in the red outfit smashed a car or something big by accident because she didn't know her strength. The gimmick was the fruit juice (which I'm pretty sure was referred to as "fruit cocktail" because my little mind at the time thought that it was a really sophisticated word). The fruit juice was 100% there.

It's been off and on in my mind for quite a few years, but I didn't bother to look for it until recently. I've tried a few times to no avail. "Special with Three girls and super powers" gives me PowerPuff girls in google and the moment I search something with fruit juice the results are not even close.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

...Oh my gosh! Wow! That was really fast! Thank you so much! I can't believe it, at this point I thought I imagined it all one day. Groove Squad, I knew the title was something "Totally Radical"!

Haha, thanks so much again!

Edit: OH my gosh its kind of crappy, haha! I can't believe this is what I remembered xD

Hm, interesting. I'm only 18 yet I've never heard of this. Was it any good? Or worth a rewatch now that you've figured out what it is?

I think at the time I found it good, but I was 7 years old when I saw it. After almost ten years of not having seen, hearing about it, or discussing it with anyone, I only had my memory of the powers part, which I found interesting (and still do, it's really out there, to say the least). But after seeing a trailer of it, I think it's something only younger girls would like. It's really girly. I don't think I would mind seeing it again but from the two minutes I saw it was hard to not laugh, but for the wrong reasons, haha.

I just wanted to know the name, because again, I never met anyone who knew about it and after those ten years, I was beginning to think it was a dream or I made it up or something.

Five years ago when I lived in Japan, the Cartoon Network there aired Groove Squad and the other movies, and I thought they were pretty dang terrible. It was a time (or maybe it was always the case), when DiC's cartoons were pretty bad, with poor timing in their humor, horrible voice acting, lousy writing, and weak stories. Groove Squad was the first of these movies to air, and I was disappointed in it when I first saw it.

Still, I like the character designs.

Hm, I agree. I remember that Sabrina movie that was one of those specials (thanks to your link, I found out the name to that too!) and thinking it was good at the time. I saw a few minutes of it again after I finished that Groove Squad trailer and it was pretty bad.

Its funny how you realize these kind of things when you look at them in a new perspective. I remember really liking Groove Squad and just seeing a little bit (again, only two minutes was what I could find) yesterday made me realize how cheesy it was. =/ Oh well. I can't believe my search ended though, as long as I know I'm not really going crazy, I'm OK, haha. I shall now stop making replies to this, I'm done here, haha.
