I'm going camping and I don't want to get my period!?

I am going camping in the beginning of April next year, and I always get my period at the beginning of the month, so I'm really scared. There are not toilets or showers at camp so it's pretty unhygenic :L

Is there anyway to stop my period for that month, or somehow change my pattern so that I won't get it? OR if there is no way, does anyone know a type of med that will make your period REALLY light?
