...(2000). Getting mixed advice...? Some people are saying an 800 is WAY to big for a first timer. Others are saying it will be fine. I've sat on many (don't know how to ride yet) and this fit like a glove. I have a friend who will take me for a test drive on the back to get a sense of the power soon. I'm not reckless, but I've always been comfortable and competent on horses, wave-runners, mountain bikes, skiing, ice skating, etc. In other words, I don't rush the comfort level, but I'm not afraid to try stuff. My body awareness and reflexes are pretty good. I'm female, 5' 7", and about 150 lbs. Reviews say it's perfect for people my size and decent on the highway... a concern for a few years down the line when I'm comfortable riding. Don't want to grow out of something too soon. I've had such strong opinions from both sides. Any advice?
and PS. I'm signed up for the DMV safety class in the end of August. Until then, the most I would ride would be around parking lots with experienced riders. It was recommended that I bring the bike I plan to ride to the class. Made sense to me.
