I'm getting expelled from highschool with only 2 months until graduation

HELP ME! 123

You fucked yourself in the ass. you deserve to get expelled. You had it coming.

You may have had good intentions, but that's not how you do it. Whenever you hack into a system that's not yours, you ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAAAAYS get WRITTEN PERMISSION, first! If you had done this AFTER you graduate high school, and after you graduate from college, you could be noticed by the FBI, and you would be doing serious time in a Federal pen. Better to be expelled then to waste your life in the Federal hoosegow. You DON'T want the FBI knocking on your door at 3am. At least, I don't

You deserve to be expelled. Idiot. :mfinger: So you'll be a year behind everyone else. So what. Suck it up and learn your lesson. It's a hard lesson, but maybe you'll learn. You'll be flipping a lot of burgers in the next year, better learn how to cook.

Idiot. ha ha ha ha ha ha

Oh, did I mention you're an idiot? ha ha ha.

Anarchist, you have my sympathy. That's seriously a fucked up coincidence that you copied that folder and took that class. Let's just hope they believe you that it was just that.

OMG! you are a moron!

MCP MCP+I MCSA MCSE(NT4/W2K) CCNA CCA VH-PIRTS CEH

and what does that prove? that you took a bunch of tests and can't get a job?

Polite warning ....this is NOT B&T!

Infractions now handed out

Max warned you all, ill be cockfarming the next user who flames....for a long....long....time.

Sending good thoughts your way, Teh Anarchist - and hoping that your logical explanation on the whys and wherefores of the situation are taken into consideration. We all do things at times that can be misinterpreted, but the lucky ones get a fair hearing, and can mark it down as a learning experience.

You never opened the folder right? 'Cause there's a record log of what documents were opened when. If you opened that and showed them that you'd never used it, it will help your case.

alright - so Friday nothing happened... I was called into the head of technology's office and she cancelled the meeting with the dean/principal etc because my friend in the IT department had vouched that I had reported the security issue to him... but she said that doesn't change the fact that I have had access to tests and information about my class that other students aren't privileged to. Sorry I haven't been able to get on - my school account has been banned and I worked all weekend- so this has been my first chance to get back on to update.

For the moment, I'm not expelled. The IT guys at school are looking into the exact usage of the files inside the folder and are going to present a solution according to what they find. I can say that I never intentionally accessed the files, and for sure never shared the documents with any other students.. so that should bode in my favor. BUT, if they find that I accessed the files at all (which, after spending a lot of hours thinking about it, I have convinced myself that I think I may have at some point) then I could be up for some other punishment.

Hopefully this won't include expulsion, but I, unfortunately, have no say in that matter. I do have some friends in high places including the IT department for my help over the past couple years, but a lot depends on what the IT guys find. Naturally, they're taking their sweet ass time investigating it as I was supposed to get a phone call Friday evening to let me know, and as of 3:00 this afternoon, they still hadn't updated anyone.

All I can hope at this point is that I didn't open the files too many times or for too long a period of time, if I opened them at all, but I received my dad's memory which might as well be no memory at all.. so hopefully I'll know more by the end of the week, but I should know by tomorrow if they're feeling in the mood tomorrow.

I would have to sasy the worst dpart about the situation is having to wait for the god damn board to call you back. They take their sweet ass time. But, from the way i see it, you seem like a good kid who just made a mistake, they'll give you another chance.

Nobody gives a damn whether you're a good kid or not. I was nearly thrown in CDC for something my friend did to a freshman and lied about saying that I was involved as well. They were going to fuck up my graduation to--and I quote the assistant principal verbatim here--"impress upon seniors the seriousness of treating freshmen badly". And yet the same seniors I knew gave freshmen shit all the time. I was being made an example of because I was a "good kid", because it's easier to punish them harshly. The "bad" ones get away with everything because authorities are just tired of punishing them. Think I'm wrong? I've seen it myself.

Man, i wish id had friends back when i was in highschool who'd put their reputations on the line to vouch for me. I did get tossed out of school for "hacking" their computer labs (All of em were macs...:( ). Strange thing is, not only did i not do it but because of the whole accusation process and getting thrown out i took an interest in computer security and it lead to me actualy hacking their computer lab just to prove i could actualy do what they said i did and access everything in the network.

So you have my total sympathy because it sucks to be outcast for something you didnt do. Just dont pull a Me and then become what they claimed you to be.

not going to drone on with this and make it another long post - so in short: I'm cleared.

The guy who vouched for me was apparently enough to fuck the zero tolerance policy in the ass and get me a get out of jail free card.

I got a stern warning to stay out of the teacher drives - that's about it.. other than the load in my pants when I was told I was being expelled the first time.
