I'm getting a pump in June and I have a camp a few days later? do you

reckon I will be fine? Ok, so its in a few months still but a few days later I am going on a school camp whcih I have been so excited about. It;s in the bush with adventure activities, rock climbing, jumping off things, and walking across wires etc. I really want to go but I'm not sure if I will be ok.

Also, I am really worried soemtimes about having something always in me. I am not the best with finger pricks and sometmes dont do them at all, do you have any advice which would help me do my fingerpricks 4 times a day. I even tried to colour in my record book but it didnt really work. I need my fingerpricks 4 times a day and with a pump, you really really rely on knowing your blood sugars. Please help.
 
The truth is it takes about a month to get use to the pump. I wanted to send it back the first week I had it. Today I would much rather have my pump on a camping trip then be on shots. You may have to test more often than 4 times a day
