I'm getting a little tranny oil n the primary

I noticed the last time I changed primary oil that it had a red tint, suggesting that a little RedLine oil from the transmission is getting in there. What is the most likely culprit? I am thinking that it may be getting in there from the clutch pushrod.

Me too, I think. Trannys been using just a little no leaks so I figure that's where it's going. My oil isn't dyed though so I can't tell by color. Glad you posted, will watch this thread.

My primary oil is red to begin with.

The primary vents through the clutch push rod and into the transmission so they will and can exchange some oil.there isn't a seal between the two.If you ever looked at the primary there isnt a vent.

Aha, so THAT'S why HD says to use the same oil in all 3 holes. Saves money on seals I suppose, lol
