I'm getting a gray, used 2004 Honda Civic with 31k mileage, do you think its a good car?

Do you have any advice for me on how to treat the car? do any of you have a civic or know anything of the car?
 
Personally I don't like Foreign cars. Why not buy an American car and support the American economy?
