I've just come to the end of my Photography GCSE course. I started the course in September 2008, and up until now, I have constantly been focused on my Photography. I suppose you could say I have put all other subjects aside just to focus on Photography. I put a lot of work into my Photography. Today was the deadline for all of my work from the course;
Thats my book;
-Darkroom techniques like Photograms and Projectorgrams, Camera Obscura, Black and White films, Digital Photography and my final project.
My Mock Exam;
We were given six questions to choose from, and we had to produce;
A research sheet, two Photographers techniques sheets (Taking photos in the style of famous Photographers), developing ideas sheets (Taking pictures with our own interpritation of the question, and then editing them), finalising ideas, which is selecting the pictures that we want to use for our final prints, and editing them yet again to make them look even better), and then a set of final images mounted up onto black card.
My Exam;
Exactly the same as the Mock Exam, except of course it was a different question.
I think I have done well in organising myself and getting things in on time. A few weeks ago I got my Annual report for this year; it says my target for Photography is an A*, but I am currently working at an A. I am a little bit worried about not getting my predicted grade.
I got an A, in my mock exam, two marks off of an A*, I got a B in my book last time my teacher marked it, but since then I have done LOADS of work to it and I'm sure I have got it up to at least an A. My Exam hasn't been marked yet, as my Teacher is going to do that over the holidays. I really want the A*, but I'm worried I'm not going to get it! I put so much work into Photography, and I have been staying after school every day for three hours, since September 2009! I will be so happy if I get my predicted grade, as I want to take Photography as an A Level in the Sixth form.
I don't really know the point of me posting this, but I guess i just wanted to get all this stress off of my chest. Is anyone else in a similair positon to me?
Do any of you take GCSE/A Level Photography?
Any ideas on how to stop worrying and just relax?
Any advice would be helpful!
Thank you.
