to it (engine) wise? It has a an inline 6 engine 4.0 liter with 4 wheel drive.

I know it gets driven a little bit every week but nothing intense nor far.

So I think I should have everything checked and what not and I was wondering if I could get tips on what all to do with it to tune it up and all.

Thank you very much!

Pull out the oil dipstic and make sure its just oil. If there is water/coolant it mean you have a cracked block**if it has gas it means that the piston rings are bad. This is where to start..then
air up the tires,
change the oil for sure. spark plugs and wires make a big difference too.
clean off the battery terminals.
check around the engine for cracked/cracking hoses.
park the car on level ground and start it, wait 10-15 mins and go look under the car and in the engine bay for any leaks.
Put a bottle of Seafoam in the gas tank next time you fill up, about $9
straight 6 is usually a solid engine, good luck and pat yourself on the back for being one of the few people to try and properly maintain a vehicle lol

Start with the basics. Check and/or replace the air and fuel filters, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, and oil and other fluids. Check the date on the battery, if it has it. Could create problems down the road. Check the belts for wear or cracking. If an auto trans, the fluid should be bright red and smell clean, not brownish and smell burned. If so, change it and the filter. Transfer case oil almost never gets changed, so plan on doing it. Same thing with axles. If your U-joints in the driveshafts and axles have grease fittings, grease 'em. Same thing for balljoints and tierods. While you're down there, check to make sure the steering linkage is tight without a lot of movement. Finally, it wouldn't hurt to check the brake system (pads, rotors, drums, fluid).

As long as it's running good just go with a standard tune up. Fluids, plugs, wires, filters, etc.

The 4.0 I6 is one of the best motors of all time, in my opinion it's unstoppable as long as you maintain it. This coming from a chevy guy.

Also don't forget to check transfer case and differential fluid levels as most people never check those.

change all the filters and oil. Toss in a new set of plugs and wires. The engine will be fine .

check and change the brakes! grease the front end.

great engine.. just do regular tune up, plus transmission oil change.. the one thing that sometimes messes up on those cars is the 4x4 system
