I've been exercising everyday for the past week or so. I've been running for half an hour everyday and doing weights/strength training every second night.I'm also eating vegies/salads twice a day with meals, I don't drink anything but water or occasionally milk and I don't eat salty things. But the scales say I've gained 2 kg! I am 162cm and used to weigh 54kg at my best weight, but now I've jumped up to 56. :( I know this could be muscle, but I want to lose it not gain it. Is there any way to lose it as well as build lean muscle? Thanks!

Muscle weighs more than fat.

Try measurements instead of pounds. You will see the difference there.

Also cut out breads, dry cerials, fruit juices, and eat leaner protein on rest days.

Example red meat on work out day.

Grilled Talipia.

Muscle weighs more than fat. So whilst you are actually burning fat, you are gaining muscle.

Don't weigh yourself everyday. Once a week is better and at the same time. eg pm/am. You are doing great.

Good Luck
