Hello

I called tmo customer servicve and I asked if the IM was part of the 69.99 BB plan they have. The guy there told me that it was not covered by the BB plan, I have additional 400 anytime messages for 4.99, so i didn't freak because since monday when i got it i have been on my BB alot doing all sorts of stuff.

So my question is, is it true or not the fact that all IM, TXT, and MMS fall in the category covered by the 400 anytime messages i have or does only the TXt and MMS fall into that category.

It would suck if the IM is not covered by the BB unlimited plan.

Has anyone looked at their invoice to see?

Thanks
Pueto

If, by the unlimited plan, you mean internet access and the like, then yes your IM's are covered by your BB plan. cos i asked the same thing about emails to my carrier, AT&T, and they said it's covered by your internet plan, and your MMS and TXT messages are on with your 400 messages a month deal.

Depends on if you're using regular built-in SMS/MMS message functionality or using an add-on messaging system like Skype, MSN or Yahoo Messenger, etc.

SMS is the original mobile phone messaging system. SMS and MMS usage is a potentially billable component of your bill. Sometimes SMS messages are included in your service gratis. On other plans you might be allocated 200 SMS messages a month and 5cents per after. Or maybe you pay an extra $9/month for unlimited SMS messages.

DATA/Web application based messaging (ICQ, Skype, Yahoo, MSN, BB-PIN, etc) counts towards your data plan. You should see your data allocation and usage numbers on your billing statements. Prepaid SIM Card plans vary by vendor. Text based messages consume very little data. If you start sending photo/data attachments then data consumption numbers can jump.

Thanks for the inputs. I thought that the IM like yahoo or aim would fall in the message plan but I also saw the fact that they are all web based so that's were my doubt started. Ill check my usage just to be sure.
