I'm convinced that it's impossible to seed on bitmetv

you really can't seed back on bitmetv, with a seedbox? you should easily be able to get 3 or 4 ratio on on all those new episodes that are released. Which is enough to to be able seed those old tv show packs that will take a while to seed.

Sounds like it should work right?

Well not for me. I grabbed House last night when it had only 1 seeder. Within seconds it was up to 200 seeders and even though I left it going for hours, I didn't even seed back what I leeched.

And this was on a 1GBPS seedbox.

I'm pretty sure the site was built that way to keep torrents alive longer and keep pay2leech donations flowing.

No site is built to make it hard to seed. These sites developed that way. 3-4 years ago, when many of these great sites came about, there were almost no seedboxeshe if any used by regular users. THe original core of members, the old school folks who are still active members have solid ratios because a) they were around before a lot of new members and had more opportunity to seed b) there was much less competition in seeding and c) the people who didn't seed well are not there anymore.

As with all communities, these old school folks are like, I did it and so can you. They have helped build something that is reputed for its greatness and newcomers are expected to be obsequious in building their own buffers. But I doubt many consider the factors making that more difficult.

I do not think it is hard to seed there. If you jump on all the popular TV shows then you will probably not seed that much back as others with seedboxes jump on those files too. let what you have downloaded seed for a while and you will seed back, also on packs that have a small amount of seeders to leechers, depending on your ratio.

u serious thats 2 seasons u seeded u have to seed 20-30 seasons from ur comp not 2 u are rly dumb

and there is no score wtf its just me ripping on a nerd and u snitching and crying to staff to have me banned

You have the comprehension of a rock.

Persona non Grata, for so many reasons.

Maybe your seedbox has an incorrect set up? I jumped on a 50 GB torrent during my third or second day of membership there with a 1 Gbps seedbox and I easily achieved the ratio above 1 on that torrent.

Unless you have access to other trackers who get their stuff quicker so you don't have to actually download it from bmtv.

No seriously.

I have a seedbox. Speeds are no problem for me. But when I download an episode THE SECOND it shows up, I don't even end up seeding even. Everyone somehow beats me to it.

The only possible solution is to grab the stuff off say, SCT before it hits bmtv and then seed it on bmtv.

That's a point I frequently make.

People wet their pants over trackers like this, and the fact is they just aren't worth it.

Think about it. You can get the same shows 3 minutes later on a site like IPT and seeding will be effortless. Which brings up the point...why would you spend hours and hours strategically building up a modest buffer on BMTV for 3 minutes difference in pretimes.

Seriously... I want someone to try and tell me why I'm wrong here.

Dempey and Makepeace ,The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., The Night Stalker, Tour of Duty, Hornblower, .........

Was it updating ? I have that trouble on TVT and I need to cancel and redownload it something like 3 times before it "takes" .Only site that I have that problem on.

It is rather difficult. I use to cross seed from TL (I was a donor so no HnR/ratio there) and even so my buffer only increased small amounts with every torrent I seeded. It ended up being too much effort and I just gave up. However the recent "test" of freeleech gave me a decent buffer, so I'll be set if theres any extremely rare shows I may want on occasion. Otherwise Im not wasting my precious buffer

I agree that it's tough, but it can be done.

-Do some research first. Find some popular shows, and then see whether the number of snatches is going up or down with each episode. You want to choose the shows that are becoming more popular over time.

-Do your downloading during prime-time in the US. That's generally when the most popular shows are released.

-Skip the 720p releases if you're trying to build a ratio. For whatever reason, I've always had much better luck with the non-HD releases. And they're way more popular too.

-Obviously, seed for as long as possible. After the initial release, there will always be plenty of people who download it over the next 2-3 days.

I've been able to maintain a good ratio on a home connection, but it definitely takes some work. Good luck!
