I'm buying my first car, help?

I don't want to buy a car from any dealer. I want one from regular people selling theirs. I live in Houston, Texas. Does anyone know any web pages I can search to find cars that are on sale? I don't really wanna buy anything over 5k...since I'm on a budget. Nice and cheap!

craigslist.com
at these two you will deal with people directly. if you have anything in mind then you can search that way. also look in your local newspaper for people selling cars. craigslist will be your best bet.

haha check out yahoo autos, i like their used car ads, its really easy to use.
but also try:
cars.com
autotrader.com
craigslist.com
aol autos

check all of them, as cars are not on every site, it'll be worth checking them all cuz chances are youll eventually find the car you want!!

I would look in the paper. Also car soup (that may or may not operate in texas) has cars for sale by people AND by dealers.
