I'm building a computer, but i still need a little help. ?

I've put in all the parts, but I'm trying to find out which way the power button plug, power light, HDD light etc. goes into the motherboard. my motherboard manual says to make sure that the positive side is on the positive side, and negative on negative. my Motherboard says what side is positive, and what side is negative. i just need to know what side is positive and negative for the plugs. (would the words on the plug face the top of the case? or the bottom?)
