No you don't get paid, nor do you get a uniform. You will be on delayed entry. Which means the time you spend in the delayed entry program(DEP) is counted towards your 8 year commitment.
For example: When you first enlist you have an 8 year commitment to fullfil. Say you spend 6 months in the DEP. Once you enter active duty for BCT & AIT your commitment is down to 7 years and 6 months. Then say you spend 4 years on active duty. Now your commitment time is down to 3 years and 6 months. During that remaining time you have three options. You can stay on active duty, aka reenlist. Go into the either the national guard or the active reserves. Or you can spend that time in the Individual Ready Reserves(IRR).
Remember, once you enter the IRR you are still subject to recall to active duty if needed.
I hope this helps.
