One night a robber broke into a wealthy mans house, and made off with a bag of jewelry. Shortly after the wealthy man called the police, and the police rushed after the robber. The robber, knowing he was being tailed, jumped into some bushes and hid the jewelry. He then took off. The next day the police recovered the jewelry. The police had 2 prime suspects, one of which was the robber. One of the police officers said "how are we to identify this robber." The other officer said "In 2 days we will know who the culprit is." Sure enough, in 2 days the robber was found and arrested. The robber never returned to the crime scene, how did they know it was him?
