I'm actually enjoying RINNE.

It's weird. I couldn't care less about Inu-Yasha anymore and I never cared to read Ranma 1/2, but I'm actually enjoying RINNE.

Well, for one, I guess the running gag is less annoying than "Sit Boy!", and the fact that it doesn't feel as self-important while still being overtly silly...ah, whatever, I can't really put my finger on why I like it.

Though on a side note, I do think Rumiko's old one-shot stories were actually pretty good.

It's a very interesting background for the main guy character. I actually feel bad for the guy without him ruining it with antics.

I'm actually waiting for the next chapters at this point. Maybe it's because even the "mascot" character thus far (The cat) isn't annoying, but a good pal. All the main characters seem independent and responsible, it's just the circumstances that bring these situations.

I'm loving it so far,but then,I'm a pretty big Rumiko Takahashi fan (I love Maison Ikkoku,InuYasha,One-Pound Gospel,and Ranma 1/2)...

I love all the references to Japanese mythology/ghosts/the afterlife...since I find those things facinating in any culture...

...and I like that for once, she's not having an "arguing couple" as the leaRAB (Heck,Sakura and Rinne have yet to seem like anything other than co-workers,much like Bleach's Ichigo and Rukia...I'm hoping it stays that way,as it'd be nice to see something different from her)...

Well,it looks like Sakura and Rinne do like each other, but at least it's not in the "Takahashi couple" way (where the characters in question argue alot and/or can't admit they actually do like each other),so at least it's somewhat different from her past stories...
