i'm trying to lose weight and look good before my aunt's wedding on july 5th (my bf will also be home for his 2-week leave from Iraq). my ultimate goal is to lose 25 pounds, but i'll take whatever i can get before my aunt's wedding. i'm a waitress, so i do walk around a lot for about 7 or 8 hours at a time. depending on how busy it is changes how fast/slow i walk - on slow days it's more of a mosey and i take my time, but when it's busy i'm definately walking at a good pace and get an accelerated heart rate. i work 5 days out of the week and i try not to eat the food there (not the healthiest of foods). how do i figure out how many calories i'm burning and how much i should workout in addition to my job? thanks!
i only live about 3 miles from where i work, but i don't want to walk home because i usually work til midnight or later and i don't want to walk home alone late at night ....

well if you have extra money you can buy this device that tells you how many steps you've taken a day, try and get at least 10,000 steps, which im sure you do more :) then go to an online site and see how many calories you've lose in 10,000 steps or how many you walked. - just type it in google. you can buy this from any Gym shop, where you buy treadmills etc, if you live in US walmart probably has good cheap ones. and extra exercise is instead of going home in car or any other type of transport go walking. if it's far away and you get the buss then drop off one stop earlier :)

why can't you eat at the place you work?
iv never seen a restaurant/bar/etc not have a salad? or even a vegetarian choice would be good until you can go home. if not take in something healthy from home. (make it the night before or if it's a late shift before you enter)

little things like that make you lose weight rapidly and healthily. the good thing is that the weight wont come back on.

if you feel you have some spare time go for a jog or do a cardio dvd for half an hour daily.

hope iv helped :)
just remember healthy eating and exercising is key for healthy and fast weight loss :) xxx
