...so nervous.? I have a friend I work with (we'll call her Julie) and I sort-of met him there. Turns out his friend (we'll call him James) is dating Julie's friend Allie. James was flirting with me right before he left, even though he has Allie, and then got the bright idea to introduce me to his friend The Lawyer.

James wrote down The Lawyer's name and I found him on facebook. We've been messaging a bit and I spoke to him on the phone yesterday. He's kept in touch with me and seems pretty interested in this first date... but I'm so nervous because he's really intelligent. Not that I'm not, but I'm not sure if I'm intelligent enough for him. Now I could be blowing this all out of proportion, and I'm sure I am, I just want things to go smoothly.

I also haven't had very many successful first dates that turn into second dates. I usually only have a first date, end of discussion. Please help; I'd like this to work out!!

Well, make an effort in how you look. Guys love confident girls who can smile, so if your confident and smile enough he'll think your just the happiest person and it makes you more fun to be around. also ask him questions about the obvious, like music, how life is now, interests, etc. Ask questions but don't be too eager, just casually. Don't forget to put in the right amount of flirting and laughing and smiling. Be flirty yet casual, and kind but not lovey-dovey. the results should show if he likes you.
