I'm a man...and I've cried over music.

I definitely have, by numerous songs actually. Sometimes it's when I'm a tad stoned, and it's just so profound and moving that it just comes out.

I wouldn't have expected it to be Poles Apart, though I'm curious, why'd you cut the Floyd?

I don't think I have ever cried over JUST listening to a song... Add in back story/video, then maybe year. Prime example is something like 'Hurt' by Cash... Song doesn't do much for me but the video is so good it makes a little tear drop here and there... Same with songs that I connect to frienRAB who are no longer with us.

I'm positive that I'm not the only soul out there that hasn't been stopped in their tracks by an album, reply for which albums have brought you to tears or and album that actually changed you.

Last CD that I cried while listening to:

Transatlanticism by: Death Cab for Cutie

Watching the MTV unplugged version of Where did you sleep last night by Nirvana made me tear up a little. Theres so much emotion there it seemed like Kurt knew it was near the end for him. It still gives me chills sometimes when I hear it.

There was actually a while that I couldn't listen to this without just falling apart, but it was mainly due to the fact that it reminded me of someone.

Maybe just a dfferent time in my life. I smoked ALOT more at that point and then a few years ago we started playing more surf acoustic style and I emmersed myself in that genre (Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, etc.)

Now that we are pretty solid at playing that type o music, I listen to alot of brit-rock, alt rock, and actually some rap.

Wierd how taste in music changes over the years.

I read your entire post, and I was not trying to squash your post. It was just my humorous attempt at your expense.

I know that there are many other ways to express yourself other than crying, and I have not called your personal preference of expression 'durab'. Regardless of how you express yourself, there are others out there who cry (me being one of them). As an individual that only felt comfortable with crying a couple of years ago, I can honestly say I see/have seen it from your perspective. On that note, make sure she (your bitch wife) doesn't forget to fondle the balls.

Edit: My apologies for any "squashing".

i was playing with my band and the guitarist was playing something so sad that i could feel tears in my eyes

i haven't completely bawled over music, though

Better out than in thats what I say :D I think people just wear their heart on their sleeve a little more. Has advantages and disadvantages I suppose. So films dont get you either?

I've never really had an album bring me to tears just certain songs. The one the gets me everytime is 100 years by Five for Fighting. It used to be just an ordinary song to me but then my Grandfather passed away a few years ago and he actually died at the age of 100. My family made a slideshow and put it to that song and now everytime I hear that song I get all choked up.

I wouldn't say that I've ever cried while listening to music, but the first time I heard "The Dark Side of the Moon" I just felt so alone,I wanted to cry, but somehow I escaped the tears...and it was the album that changed my life forever...
probably the one song that almost get's me every time is the cover of "Thank U" by Steven Wilson
