I'm a little afraid to go outside at night alone in the dark, just to take my dog to

pee. Is that so weird? But I'm a little paranoid that someone is going to come in my backyard and like kidnap me or do something bad to my dog? I am nervous enough to go inside and wait for my dog to be done and come to the door. But if anything happened or happens to him I would want to die. My dog is my best friend. But why would they? I live in a pretty safe neighborhood. But I mean a house was broken into during the day by some kids and some stuff was stolen. They live across the street and their back door was busted. Am I just worrying too much? And when I say at night I mean more like midnight and later. And we do have outside lights. Not where he goes really though. Only a bit of the light reaches where he goes.
