I'm a fifteen-year-old author...?

I'm a fifteen-year-old author, and I've written a short story, but I don't know what to do with it. I want to have it published somehow, but I'm not entirely sure where to go with it. It's a horror story/adventure if that helps at all.
Another option I'm considering is expanding upon the story, but I might just write that as a side story kind of deal.
Help please ^^
 
Ok. Start by reading novels/short stories which you think are in some way similar to yours. Eg. Mystery, Fantasy, Horror, ect.
At the front of the book there is usually a publisher and there company name. Try finding the number to this person. Can be found on the internet or on the book.
Call them up, and see what happens next.
