It's not an STD, it is a normal bacterial flora that is in the intenstines of the majority of people, sometimes it migrates it's way out of the anus and around the perineal area and into the vagina. It is not a harmful bacteria that causes infection in adults, but in newborns it can be deadly. You will be treated in antibiotics during labor, which reduces transmission rates to the baby to virtually zero.

The test came up positive. I am 100% faithful to my hubby and i'm pretty sure he's faithful also. How did i get this? Does this mean he has it? Should we stop oral? As long as the dr gives me Antibiotics will my son be ok? I hate my dr! they never give me answers!

is that the test they do your rear end? im not trying to be gross.but if it is then i had that done like 2 days ago and im 27 weeks and i haven't got my results back yet.but i think if you take your medicine i think your baby will be fine but im not completely sure, you should have asked your doctor.

That when you ask what everything means when they don't give out the information. I tested positive too. Its not an STD or anything like that your husband didn't get it from somewhere it just happens. As long as your get your antibiotics your baby will be fine and even if something happened where you didn't chance are that he would still be ok. Only you have it and not your husband. They are not sure why women get it or where from we just do. If you need more info on this google it.

I had Strep B too. I think its something you just have, its not like an STD. The Dr will give you antibiotics when you go into labor. Mine took 4 hours to fully kick in, I don't know if other hospital take a different amount of time. As long as you can wait it out until they are fully kicked in then your son will be fine.
