...this possible? I've heard various answers from various sources. One thing that is certain is that you need a degree.I'm too old to enlist so if I can't get in as an officer then i'm not going in. Some recruiters say that you need a specific degree, some say any degree is accepted. One recruiter told me that my degree wasn't accepted and to enlist and then apply for office training(yeah right)! It seems as if they are giving me the run around. I'm tired of this mundane civilian life.I haven't had a full-time job in two years and i'm going nowhere fast all this with a degree, solid references, strong resume and cover letter writing skills, sharp image and a clean background! The US job market is getting worse not better. This recession isn't going to end for a very long time and right now i'm caught up in it.It seems as if the Air force is the best route for me cus being unemployed wit ha degree that I can't use is demoralizing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? No BS!

Its possible, but it would depend on your AFOQT score.

the Air Force doesn't look at college gpa's at OTS Boards anymore.

They look at your AFOQT score.

Of course, the better your college gpa, the better you usually do on the AFOQT

The only way to find out,is to apply for OTS, that takes about 6 months.

The AF takes VERY few non-technical majors for OTS. Since you can't get another job, your grades and qualifications will not be good enough to get into OTS (you need about a 4.0 and be the type of person that can go wherever they choose, they exist even in this economy)

the AF prefers Hard science degrees like Engineering or computer science.

yoru degree is not all that competitve unless you have like a 4.0 GPA and all sorts of extra stuff like strong leadership roles or experience to mitigate the lack of a technical degree.
