tests,yet my curfew is 9? Im drug tested monthly, as my sister got into the meth and other nasty stuff, but im NOTHING like her.
Im in college, she didn't finish high school.
Im child free, shes 19 and has a 1 year old.
i got my license at 16, she got hers a few months ago.
I have a 3.8 gpa so i can transfer to a university next year.
Im nothing like her, but they treat me like i have commited all of her mistakes. I have just learned of the gps my father installed in my car, but it doesnt bother me, because i never lied about my where abouts, in case something DID happen to me, i would prefer sombody to know where i was.
I don't ever drink because i know theres always a possibility might have to drive. I also like to be in control of my actions. My health is very important to me, so drugs are out of the question too. I go to the gym 4 times a week, and try to stay in shape, so WHY would i ruin it with any of that poison?! i have no desire to inhale toxic smoke or drink yeast urine, which is essentially what alcohol is. In my opinion, it doesn't have a pleasant taste. I still enjoy going to party's, yet i have to leave an hour after they start.
all of my friends are older, as i go to college, but it doesn't make a difference, as they aren't a bad influence on me. I pave my own path and can differentiate right from wrong, smart from stupid, and a bad idea from a good idea.
My parents dont seem to think this way. They think i should be home by 9 pm SHARP or i will go out and get drunk and do drugs,and get kidnapped and murdered. I dont think its a valid point. I'm 18 in a year, but i dont see how being 18 is going to prevent me from being kidnapped, anymore than being 17 is. are they just going to forget about it when im 18? im suddenly going to grow the commen sence I need to keep myself alive when out at night within a year? I think
Its ridiculous that i have to turn down every outing im invited too because we would be out past 9.
can you think of any points i have no mentioned or a method to persuade them to give me an extra hour?
or do you believe their way of thinking is justified.
