I need a job to help out my family. I only go to school a couple days a week, so I know that I could handle a job. I was reading up on California child labor laws, and from what I understand I could get a job, but what I don't understand is if I need a work permit. Do I? How long would it take for one to be approved? and would major places like grocery stores, or fast food places hire a 14 almost 15 year old with a work permit? Or do you think most likely they would turn their nose up at it and hire someone older to lessen the labor law stress? Help me please! I'm confused!
