I'm 13 years old, is it suitable for me to home groom my poodle?

I want to start grooming my own dog. I did her today fine with just scissors but I want to try with clippers. But should I :S

You are old enough to learn how, and hey it's just hair, if you mess it up, it will grow back. Just be careful not to hurt your dog.

It doesn't matter how old you are, using clippers on a dog is something you shouldn't do until you've learned the correct techniques. You could very easily give your dog clipper burn, cut her face or paws. If you want to learn to clip your own poodle, find someone to teach you how, then invest in a really good set of clippers and blades.
