I'm 13 and i want to be a Elite or Ford model. any tips or advice?

i want to start this summer in NY, but my parents don't like the idea of me becoming a model. how can i convince my mom and dad. i want to be a model any tips or advice? do you know any girl that model or something? or who is a modeling trainer?
 
sorry but im not answering your question. but i just want to give you a little advice. when a person says he wants you to work for him thats great but make sure your parents know EVERYTHING you do. theyre are some weird guys out there that can ACT like modeling agents and take you and do God knows what with you.
 
At age 13 you would still technically be a children's model. I have met two ford models and I believe that they don't accept anyone below age 15.
Tips for modeling, it is not easy. If you do not have the correct facial expression or walk, it is pretty impossible to succeed.
