How come the Illinois State Constitution states the liberties of Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, and Freedom of Petition and Assembly in Articles 3, 4, and 5, respectively, but does not include Freedom of the Press within its articles?***
Of course its liberties were already included in the 1st Amendment, but so were what was stated in Articles 3, 4, 5. Why state those 4 liberties, and exclude Freedom of the Press?
Freedom of the Press had to be a big time as it is one of the better known liberties of the First Amendment. Top two are probably Speech then Religion. Next had to be Speech. And most Americans don't know they had the Freedom of Petition and Assembly listed in the First Amendment.
