...only skills I have gained? 7 years of waitressing, pre-nursing coursework, and an unaccredited bible college degree in theology. I would have majored in music, but I played no instrument that I could play or teach that could make me any money. I took some music business classes which I thought were a waste of time. I love art, but have always been scared I won't make any money, plus I am the opposite of a self-starter and when I start doing something well, I get sick of it because the challenge is gone. In high school, I was interested in the adventure of helping people in a high stress situation so I took all sports medicine electives, even though my strongest subjects have always been english and art. In college I took a couple art classes, but by that time I thought it was so unimportant, I got a C keeping up all my other core class grades. I changed to nursing because I can make money with it and I was interested in the anatomy/micro/physio classes, but I don't think I would like working as a nurse.
What I do love to do? EAT (most of all), listen to music, watch movies, snowboard, look up random facts, play with my animals, travel, cook, dress up, do make-up, experiment with various crafts, learn learn learn. How can I incorporate all this into just one chosen path? I hope to incorporate them all into being a Mom someday, but as for work, I wish I could just go to school for the rest of my life and just do all those things and get paid for it.
Anyway..I am so sick of waitressing and living at home. I am sick of this exact question plaguing my thoughts every single day. Sick of watching my dreams of having a passion to work in every day, a home of my own, or money to travel.
Most of all I want to feel like I have something important to do everyday in which I'm supported by!!!
I decided fine: I'll apply to every nursing school that I have a chance of getting into, and even apply to a college in PR and Art Education...and just see where the dice end up.
Any suggestions for me with so many interests that I cannot decide on one?
