...dogma hate & fairytales? why would you continue to blindly follow it instead of finding your own true path to spirituality and enlightenment or researching what your ancestors believed in before they were converted by brute force?
 
they wouldnt but that is not true for the Bible....IT ALL IS REAL...most of it happened except the parables and solomon
 
Once you learn to think for yourself, you quickly realize that religion is nothing but fairy tales and myths.
 
Some *tried* to force that on my ancestors, but obviously failed. There are still plenty of us around that follow the deities of our Kinsmen and Kinswomen before us. Unfortunately, a lot of people, including children, were tortured and murdered, but enough of us hid or unleashed full Heathen fury right back at them that somehow, we survived. Most of our Days of Remembrance in the Nordic faiths are a direct result of the forced christianizaiton of the Scandinavian lands, as a matter of fact!

So we don't all blindly follow the whims of a foreign deity and its sometimes violent adherents. Some of us *do* still have Troth (unfailing loyalty and honor to the deities and our Kinsmen and Kinswomen), ya know.
 
My ancestors experienced this.

I don't know if it was as much 'brute force" as "assimalation by environment".

They were forced here, and they were forced to hear their slavemasters rant at them about Christ loving mankind (irony?).
African Americans adapted the Protestant Southern version to fit their own beliefs (i.e. black people aren't trash), but still...

It does make one wonder...

In any case, I'm atheist.
 
Or worse yet, why would you pick up even a second book of lies, like the Book of Mormon? Just because your ancestors believed it back before the internet, there is no reason to avoid the truth now.
