If you were to create a film, what would it be?

If I was to make a movie.

It would be a war movie on the adventures of a certain Colonel Fredrick Spencer Chapman - distant relative (about 4th cousin)

He was compared to T. E. Lawrence by Field Marshall Earl Wavell.

When the Japanese invaded Malaya during World War II he was in Singapore and two weeks before they took Singapore he loaded by a bright red Ford V8 with plastic explosive, ammunition etc and went into the Jungle - to emerge 3 years later having lived and travelled amongst the Malayans often with the MCP. He was captured (and escapted twice) one by Chinese guerillas and once by the Japanese.

He wrote a book about these war years called The Jungle is Neutral and you can read more about him on Wikipedia

We jokingly refer to him as the real Indiana Jones since when not exploring places like Tibet and the Arctic he was a teacher.
 
Oooh I'm not telling you're probably some big burned out hollywood scriptwriter coming in here to plunder peoples unrealised dreams! :P

In seriousness I don't think there have been enough giant monster films of late. So big monster destroys big city......

Big monster with sexy results! You'd need some very expensive and large CGI effects.

I'd do a horror. Lots of big-breasted women running up stairs instead of out the front door etc.
 
I'd do a sci-fi action film, one big long space battle, probably a re-imagining of a WW2 story like The Battle Of The River Plate, The Battle Of Britain, Pearl Harbour or The Battle Of Midway, ILM would do the effects there would be no kiRAB, no weak crying women, lots of explosions, last for 3 hours and blow its budget of $2 billion.
 
Wasn't this called Star Wars? Only I remember it as being boring as hell, weak plot line and filmed ass about face.

Maybe I am just getting cynical in my old age, but there isn't much in the cinema that appeals to me any more. Its either teen/prepubescent comedies, chick flicks or explosion fests with crappy acting. Two of the supposed big films this year - Transformers and Spiderman 3 were disasters imo.

It would be a lavish fully accurate depiction of the battle of Shiloh during the American civil war.
Except that curiously and for no historical reason a unit of the Grenadier guarRAB were doing a spot of fishing, they grab some dropped muskets and hold off the Confederate assault.

The Union gets reinforcements and win the day, redcoats go back to fishing.
That's to make up for HollywooRAB horrendous rewriting of history over the years

Just to rub it in Mell Gibson gets cast as an especially intelligent and brave English soldier, that should annoy him no end.

I promise to give it some thought and come up with a serious proposal.
But if anyone wants to steal my idea and make the movie feel free.
 
I'd like to make a lavish, erotic porn film aimed at women.
Most porn films are made by men, for men, and don't do as much for women as they could.
I would like to make one that addresses women's erotic and sexual fantasies.
Lavish, exotic and romantic settings. Some semblance of plot and good acting and dialogue. Lovely exciting things happening to the woman. Kissing and romantic seduction as well as sh@ggin.
You remember the Milk tray advert where this gorgeous bloke, who looks a bit like James Bond comes in at the bedroom window and leaves a box of chocolates? Well I'd like him to do a lot more than that in my film. :D And then afterwarRAB they could eat the chocolates in bed - so much more PC than smoking a cigarette!
Or the end of "An Officer and a Gentlemen" where he enters the factory in his white dress uniform and carries her out of the door? My porn film would have a scene like that only you'd get every detail of what happened next!

It would be a best seller. Most women like porn really - they just like a different sort to the cheapo, crude, basic stuff men like.
