Lets just assume that there are no trades for Cutler and no further transactions in FA. Who would you pick for #1 if you had to choose today?

I'd trade Back to 10-15 and take Brian Cushing, LB, USC with that pick and Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois with # 20 than at 33 i'd go with Michael Johnson, DE/OLB, Georgia Tech
Their defense made them the Worst team ever

If they can't trade it I'd take Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest #1

Stafford is not worth a first overall pick. Thats why he came out this year, if he came out next year he would have been drafted late first or early second. (because of McCoy and Bradford)

So if i was the GM i think i would draft any OT that impresses me the most

I would have to disagree with everyone sofar. First off, I would want to take the best player in the draft. Aaron Cury is that person. Second off, the Lions had the worst defense in the league last year. If they pick up Curry they will arguarbly have the best linebacking core in the league in Sims, Peterson, and Curry. Aaron Cury is a sure star in the NFL and prob the next ray lewis. Taking a QB would be the worst thing the Lions could do because it is the hardest positon to translate from college to nfl.

I'd find a way to go O-Line. Such as Jason Smith, if that means trading down for extra picks, I'd go for it.

Matt Stafford. Need a quarterback. So if it happened today, would be Stafford. Like the guy above me said...you can get an O-lineman later. Although I would go ahead and get one with the 2nd first rounder they have...#20. Then you still have #33 for another O-lineman or defensive guy (depending on who's there).

Matt Stafford of course because you need a face of a team and I feel like Matt can have them going in the right direction. Then they could get an Offensive Lineman in the second round with the 33 pick.

Michael Crabtree.

I would bench Michael Crabtree, Calvin Johnson, and all their good players for a year (so they could go 0-16 again). Then I would pick up Sam Bradford with the #1 pick.

How BA would Sam Bradford-Calvin Johnson-Michael Crabtree be?

I would first try and move down a few spots and pick up some extra picks. They have holes to fill.

If that didn't work I would take Jason Smith. QB's and RB's don't do any good if they don't have a line the protect them. I would use the second first round pick on Josh Freeman. He would be my QB of the future.

Ask any Bengals fan how important an offensive line is. Carson Palmer didn't do us any good on his back or the bench injured because he didn't have protection.
