If you were interviewing an anime voice actor, what would you ask them

Are you grateful that people don't recognise you on the street because you're hidden behind the character? Or would you like that little extra attention?

I would give them my picture and ask if they would hit it.

If I knew their work, I would ask about the recording session.

But seriously it is a job, like teaching, or fire fighting, just a job.

If they were not a VA what would they be?

Of course if the answer to q1 was "yes" - I would ask if the can handle a Jacuzzi and bourbon.

How do you go about choosing which roles you take on? How important is the notoriety of the director and production company in making this decision?

Which character have you most enjoyed acting as?

Has there been any role which you found particularly challenging?

Do you have a method for getting into character?

Which voice actors have had the most influence on you throughout your career?

What advice do you have for those who aspire to be anime voice actors?

Have you ever considered working on a different aspect of anime such as direction or writing?

What do you see in store for the future of anime?

I think Bryce did it right. I wouldn't change any of his questions, but I'd probably taylor it more to the specific actor. Asking questions based on on-the-spot answers would also be good, but very difficult to pull off.

Specific questions though? I wanted to ask Tiffany Grant if she forumed at all. I think that would be a good question to ask given that this is how fans communicate their feelings about specific animes and trends in anime.

Perhaps it got erased because you couldn't read what was asked! Look at the second post. "Not specific people." As in, a general question you might ask any VA.

I would ask them questions completely unrelated to their field of work. As well as very personal questions that would make them extremely uncomfortable. The awkward silence created by their unwillingness to answer would be met only with a wide-eyed, curious stare. I'd continue to stare until they answered, or left.

Questions such as: How often do you have BMs? Do you have any kids, and if so, are they hot? Are you capable of satisfying your husband/wife? If not, may I have a go at it (wife, not husband)? Have you ever worn women's underwear (male-only question)? N00dz?

Things like that. I could go on...

Struggler, see, that wasn't a question either. Creating a scenario where you ask unrelated questions is fine and all, but see this thread is for actually posting what you would be asking. Therefore supplying the questions you think would cause an awkward silence would be the entire purpose you should've had in making that post. So if you'd like to edit your post and put in said questions you again failed to supply I won't have to delete your post again!

So, do you mean like TV-talk show, or radio talkshow or when I meet them on the street..? Because I'd aske them different things according to situation (TV, Radio, Street)

Well, for me at least, "interview" kind of implies a slightly more formal setting than if you just met them on the street, but hey throw out whatever sort of questions you like.

My question would still stand. I would want to know if their partners ask them to get into character in bed. Some people would love to hear a well know anime character moaning.
