If you were asked to write a poem about some one, would it be lazy to write a Haiku?

If the haiku is flattering enough, I prefer them most. Just don't get too caught up in figurative language, that makes them confusing sometimes :]

No, not at all.

In my opinion, Haiku's are way more harder to write as opposed to a normal standard poem because, with Haiku's, there's a strict order you have to follow: 5 syllable, 7 syllable, 5 syllable - which I'm sure you're aware of.

Sometimes when writing one, the syllables can drive you mad because you're constantly thinking of words that fit into the syllable restrictions.

There's more thought that goes into a Haiku and it's more simplex while short and to the point where it makes the words more intense and respectable.

My opinion, of course.
