No. It will not be respected at all, or treated as a proper argument. The Bible is not treated as infallible truth, and will not be treated as a true source, like an article or text that actually has some truthful research to back it up.

Actually, the Bible can be very effectively used to argue in favor of abortion rights and stem cell research.
I know, because I used it a great deal in my own thesis in Christian Ethics.
