if you swallow something sharp could it kill you?

What if you swallowed a piece of glass the size of a salt. Could it get to your heart and cause blood loss and kill you? And what would be the symptoms of heart blood loss?
Cut the insides sure but I'm actually talking about the size of a salt... That's pretty damn small to do so much
