I'm sure you all know about how CompUSA has like 900 or so PS3's, but only let you buy it if you buy a 40" HDTV.
Go buy the 40" HDTV, buy the PS3, then once they ship it to your store, go return the HDTV. The first thing CompUSA tells you is, "If you want to return the HDTV, you have to return the PS3."
Unless they ring them up under the same SKU, this is illegal. Under the Fair Trade Act, tying arrangements are deemed illegal. You can't make someone who wants to buy one thing buy something else.
When you go to return the HDTV, mention the FTA and the illegality of tying arrangements, then threaten legal action.
Best-case scenario: you return the HDTV and have a PS3.
Worst-case scenario: you return both.
