If you send an xbox 360 to microsoft for 3 red rings flashing with an expired warranty,

i dont think you get the extended three year warenty thing anymore and i know microsoft stoped sending their own boxes which is pretty stupid. but anyway they would of told you on the phone if it was going to cost you anything when you called to tell them your xbox was broken.
 
is it free? My xbox got the 3 red rings of death about 2-3 weeks ago and i did the thing on xbox.com to get the box and stuff. so i sent the xbox to microsoft and they repaired it and now theyre sending it back. it should be here in just a few days. the thing is, though, i never got a bill or anything, yet my friend told me that without a warranty it costs about 100$. ive got an email from them saying that its on the way back. i hope its not 100 :/
