If you report your phone as lost/stolen is it possible to transfer the old

number to a new mobile phone? Lost phone ---> Barred sim card ----> keep the old phone number?
 
Yes, i have experienced this, i rang the orange helpline and they told me what to do. (dont ring orange if your not on orange though)
